Bookstore The Waxhaw Branch of the Union County Public Library was founded in 1937 with the support of the Waxhaw Women's Club and the WPA and has grown to include over 17,000 items, including books, DVDs, videos, books on tape and CD, young adult books, genealogy, CDs, CD-ROMs, magazines, newspapers and more. There are seven computers for adults and two computers for children, in addition to two online public access computers.

This library serves Waxhaw, Mineral Springs and the entire southwest region of the county and has outgrown its small housing at 509 S. Providence St. We look forward with anticipation to a newer, larger facility for the Waxhaw Branch Library.
